Fun fact: in the book, chet’s incensed overreaction feels a bit more fleshed out, but it also paints him worse. The reason he confirms their relationship is because he put a camera in aneung’s car and in the book, aneung convinces kn to have sex in her car during one of her lessons. He walks in on them having an intimate moment like in the start, and he sees the recording of them during his investigation. So that shock was stronger.
The convo with the mom is also funnier cause when she asks kn about them, kn straight up admits to their relationship and tells her all the 50 shades activities they do and that’s why her saying kn was being sarcastic makes more sense 😅
I think the reason Khun Neung is doing this is that she lost so many family members that she can't bear to see Anueng go through that loss because she knows her parents and gramma won't ever approve. Khun Neung should't have lied about her feelings in front of the family but also Aneung didnt stand up for herself or for Kun Neung to her family even when her gramma is insulting her boo on the phone she doesn't say shit to defend her. But it's a drama so this is how it's gonna be lol
